Instructions

things you'll need:

  • 15 minutes
  • timer or alarm
  • quiet place to relax
    • 1
Taking a power nap doesn't have to be complicated. First, recognize that you're tired. Frequent yawning, stretching and lack of focus can be signs that you need a power nap.
    • 2
Find a quiet place. It may be your car, an unscheduled conference room (get permission if necessary), or anywhere that you can relax and get to sleep quickly. Set a timer or alarm for 20 minutes. Spend 5 minutes relaxing.
    • 3
Start by clearing your mind of the rest of the day's agenda. Don't think about the meeting you have in an hour, the work on your desk, or whatever is ahead of you. Instead, take slow deep breaths in and exhales out. As you do, think only about sleeping. Allow your body to relax by tightening each muscle from head to toe.
    • 4
By the time you get to your toes, you should be starting to fall asleep. Let it come, enjoy the rest and see how much a power nap can help you complete the rest of YOUR day!

Take a power nap to boost your productivity! :)
Happy napping!
